Very interesting site here.. regarding your problem. http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/ Another thought.. even though you charged the battery, it's not at all uncommon for a car battery to be very damaged by fully discharging. Especially if not new-ish. One or more cells in it may be bad causing the overall voltage to be under normal. This alone can cause the problem you have. I would try jumping it with another car or test the battery to see if it's got at least 12.7 to 12.9 volts when sitting doing nothing. Good luck.
you can not bypass the security in that car, it is built into the main computer, they have problems with the ignition switch screwing up and the only way to start it while the light flashes is to turn the key to ON but don't crank engine, leave on for 10 to 15 minutes until light goes out then start car.
If the security light keeps flashing, you might as well do a reset.
Be sure to turn off all the accesories including the radio before you start the process.
Insert the key to the ignition switch and turn the key to ON position without starting the car.
leave it ON until the flashing light (security) stops. It will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
As soon the flashing stop, turn the key to OFF
position and start the cart.
Hope this help.
I had the same problem with my, 03, hemi. I did not wait 15 min. turn off and back on was all that was needed to reset, "red flashing light lower right hand ". though another 8 or 9 on off's, Engin Light also goes off, untill next time. All i did was pulled off my Air Intake box and hose, so i could get to butterfly on throttle bodie, sprayed carb cleaner in there. and it was very dirty. after put back togather, give it a few.... mine did not start right up, when it did idle real ruff even died few times...Once the computer re adjusted ran like it did when i bought it....that was 2 weeks ago, still no eng light, no flashing red ones either.
to reset theft system--turn key to on, leave for about 15 minutes. after 15 min. turn key off, wait 15 seconds. then try to start car. to bypass anti theft system-- all gms===go to site- newrockies.ca/vatsbypass.
it takes 10 minutes for it to go out. it's not so much a problem with your ignition as it is with the Passlock 2 system. go to passlock2.com and should be able to find your solution there.
The probably installed an overlay harness past the SKIM module it think the car it being hot wired it is a security feature. They need the install the interlock system prior to the SKIM module to keep it from locking up.
A FORD MACHANIC HAS TOLD ME THAT IN FACT THE KEY HAS TO BE RECODED. MY SITUATION IS EXACTLY THE SAME. HE SAID TO RECODE THE KEY I HAD TO TURN THE IGNITION TO THE RUN POSITION, THE SECURITY LIGHT ON THE DASH WILL FLASH RAPIDLY AND CONTINUE TO FLASH FOR 15 MINUTES . WITHIN FIVE MINUTES AFTER THE LIGHT STOPS FLASHING I MUST TURN OFF THE IGNITION FOR ONE SECOND AND TURN IMMEDIATLY BACK TO THE RUN POSITION FOR 15 MORE MINUTES. THE LIGHT WILL GO OFF AGAIN . WITHIN 5 MIN. I MUST TURN OFF THE IGNITION FOR ONE SECOND AND TURN BACK TU RUNNING POSITION. 15 MINUTES LATER REPEAT STEPS AGAIN AND THE KEY WILL BE REPROGRAMMED, AND STSRT THE CAR. GOOD LUCK MY CONTACT IS A FORD MASTER MECHANIC.
