Yes, there is a "bypass outlet" coolant hose that connects from the water pump inlet pipe (metal pipe that runs from back of water pump along engine block to lower radiator hose) to the intake manifold.

Should be two on your car. One at the firewall, driver's side where the hose heads downward. IT's a tiny little filter.
Second filter is located in front of the rear wheel, underneath, on the driver's side as well. Little bigger, sitting in a metal can that's bolted to the underbody. About the size of an old snuff jar from the 1900s.
