1995 gmc Jimmy

My 1995 GMC Jimmy starts and runs fine when it's cold. After the engine heats up (10 miles or so) it doesn't want to start and when it does, you have to bury your foot in the gas and rev it up. Sometimes it runs rough when you idle at a stop light. I replaced the injector spider, throttle positioning sensor, and EGR valve. The fuel pump is a Delco and it's about 2 years old.

The ignition coil is fine and there's plenty of spark. I checked the fuel pressure with a hot engine and I had 60psi.

WHAT SIZE ARE THE CONNECTORS ON THE FUEL LINES

It starts and runs fine. But when you try to drive it there isn't much power. It will only go about 40 miles an hour if your lucky.you don't even have to press the p[eddle for it to do that once it gets up there. It just revs the engine instead of going faster.

My 95 gmc wont start when hot starts and runs cold

Im guessing it's a 4.3 L engine. Sounds like your coil is acting up when the truck heats up. Bad coil, or small wires going to the coil

I have a 95 gmc jimmy i replaced the fuel pump and changed the wires plugs rotor and cap now it wont start

Hi, Were the parts replaced due to a no start condition? Is there a trouble code stored in the PCM or an engine light on? How many miles are on the truck?

2000 GMC Jimmy starts fine, is hesitating/ sputtering to go when I start off from a red light. It seems like when it is about to hit 2RPM.

Check fuel pressure at schrader valve on fuel rail while key on and engine not running. Spec is 55 to 61 PSI. If it is lower than 55 PSI, replace fuel pump and fuel filter.

96 jimmy shuts off while running and will turn back on, changed control module and the throttle body and MAF sensor. told by dealer to change this and problem would be fixed, problem not fixed.

i have had problems with the fuel pump relays heating up and loosing contact. it will not trigger a code and the only way to track it is to attatch a fuel pressure gauge to the system and wait for it to die. chances are you will see the pressure drop to 0 psi.

1995 gmc jimmy-won't accelerate wants to stall

could be the fuel pump ...you will need to do a fuel pressure test on it ..the pressure should be 63 anything lower even so much as a few lbs will cause this to happen ...as well if it sat that long i would consider a complete tune up and check all vacuum lines for dry-rot

1995 Gmc Jimmy Starting Problem

If the engine is using a carburetor, the top gasket maybe leaking evaporating the fuel in the bowl. Check or replace the solenoid switch on the starter body.

91 jimmy starts cold, runs rough hot, dies when put in drive

Try to unplug the mass airflow sensor and start it. It will idle higher but should run fine. If it works then you need a MAF sensor. Be sure you have an OBDII code puller to clear the computer when done
