most likely not the fuel filter- try plugs and wires... could be a number of things, if the vehicle runs fine while in park and doesnt hesitate, most likely is sprk plugs and wires or a transmission problem...

The door sensor surely is worn out. It's the little button that the door hits when shut close. If it's worn out it may trigger that it's open even if it's closed that's why the chime goes on. I strongly suggest that you replace the door sensor to resolve the problem.
Try putting some padding too on the slide door so that when the door hits the sensor it will be pushed. That is if you like the idea and not spending for the door sensor.
