The BLUE/RED wire from your ignition switch provides power to your cigarette lighter and your radio via the 15 Amp "CIG" fuse and the 7.5 Amp "RADIO" fuse in the fuse block under the left end of the dash in the kick panel.

However, this wire will not have any power with the ignition switch removed and therefore would not have been able to blow any fuses with the switch removed. The two fuses that the BLUE/RED wire go to will also not cause your engine to not start.

If your radio does not work and your engine does not start, you probably accidently grounded the WHITE wire. This is one of the TWO power wires going INTO the ignition switch. The other power wire is the BLACK/RED.
The WHITE wire gets power from the 40 Amp "AM1" fuse and the BLACK/RED wire gets power from the 30 Amp "AM2" fuse. Both of these fuses are located in the F.1 fusable link box in the engine compartment at the battery.

How to disconect the indicators from the immobiliser?

It probably is not a Toyota remote as there was no immobilized from Toyota on corolla until 2009??ish. Check on the left side kick panel by your left foot. Check for a red button or a silver toggle switch. With your key in ignition, acc on position. Press it and it should go away. It seems as if it is on valet mode. Another common problem is the hood pin switch may be broken or rusted or wire fell off. Check if you have one, not all do as it is an aftermarket item

New starter, battery good, all lights on dash come on but when I turn the key to start the car, I get no sound at all from the starter. So what is the problem? Also, does this 1996 Toyota Corolla...

There is a 12 volt signal from the ignition switch to the starter relay ! Start by having someone turn the ignition to start and with a test light on the small wire at starter see if it lights up with the ignition cylce at start ! Second -locate the starter relay in the fuse block and swap it with another same style relay and see if it will turn over ! I believe the computer is behind the glove box on that year ! You can follow the large harness in the engine compartment to the bulkhead and that will tell you where in the interior the computer is ! Hope this helps !

Spark Plugs

first open the hood and if you look at the engine theres is a black cover, there are two nuts on the bottom and you need a size 10mm socket if im not mistaken, take those off and on the top corner of the black cover there are two little plastic things that you just pop up with a flat screw driver. once all that is taken off pull the black cover up and put it aside. now you can see the 4 ignition coils because it dosent have spark plug wires. to get to the sparkplugs you need to take out the ignition coil. you need to remove the screw it is a 10mm socket i think and once you remove the screw disconect what ever its conected to and just give it a twist and pull it up and if you peak in the hole the spark plug will be right there.
