I assume you mean you have a Manual transmission. First place I would look is the neutral safety switch. Typically this has 3 parts, a contact on the clutch, a contact on the shifter and the switch itself on the transmission. If you want to be sure it is the safety switch, push start the vehicle. I prefer to use a second vehicle for the muscle in this but 2 to 3 people should be able to do it on level ground. Depress the clutch, tuen the ignition to on, Put the Shifter in Second gear and get the vehicle moving about 2 to 5 miles an hour and "POP" the clutch. Make sure you have checked the Ignition relay and all fuses in the interior fuse panel. Typically if the problem is the safety switch the engine will not crank at all, if it cranks but is not catching you will need to start trouble shooting with the fuses and electrical system followed by the fuel system.
The first thing you need to check is for power on the small purple wire at the starter. If there is no power there with the key in the crank position than you can check two things.
1. Find the neutral safety switch. It's either mounted on the lever for the clutch pedal or it is mounted on the transmission (i'm not entirely sure on this year, but there will be one somewhere). There should be power on the yellow wire any time the key is in the crank position. If there is no power go to step 2. If there is power than check for power on the purple wire with the clutch pressed in. If there is power than you have an open circuit between the neutral safety switch and the starter. If there is no power you have a bad neutral safety switch.
2. You'll need to remove some trim panels and possible drop the steering column to gain access to the ignition switch. You'll want to check and see if there is power on the yellow wire with the key in the crank position. If there is than there is an open circuit between the ignitio

Sorry..... There is an open in between the ignition switch and the neutral safety switch. If there is no power than the ignition switch may be the problem. Let me know what you find and i'll get more info to you if needed.

Alright I really messed that up. Read my solution first than read the comment above. It will make sense if you read it in that order. Sorry again.

When you say it won't start I assume you mean it will not turn over. Have you replaced the ignition switch? Not the key tumbler but the ignition switch. Have you checked the clutch safety switch?
Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities.
It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then
it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure
or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty
ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.
To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.

This will help.
