DTC P1537 - Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Open Bank 1 and 2
It controls the length and speed of incoming air for a certain engine
rpm to optimize swirl, efficiency, and minimize knocking. It's long
and fast for low rpm and idle, short and large volume for higher engine
loads. How's your truck running? I'm guessing it would be lean at idle
if it's stuck open. I would look at
your vacuum lines on the intake manifold. I think it would be vacuum
operated.
Keep in mind that the IMRC Valves are located on the
back of the intake and are listed as an item that the dealer needs to
diagnose and repair.
Hope this helps.
Thanks I will look at the vacuum lines first donniebissell
