Broke the harmonic balancer bolt on my 1994 Dodge Intrepid, can the car drive with the bolt broken off about 1/2" deep? It seems snug.

The harmonic balancer is slightly pressed onto the crank shaft. It does require the bolt to hold it into its correct position. If you drive it with the bolt broken the pulley will eventually work its way loose from the crank shaft. This will cause damage to the crankshaft and will cause the accessory belts to come off as well.

Dodge intrepid problems

I have no idea of what you call a "dramatic " pulley but rest assured that if it is spinning and bent then the uneven forces generated will eventually destroy the pulley and the shaft and bearings it is on. IF by chance you are referring to the harmonic balancer on the crankshaft then it is already broken and will come off and put a hole in the radiator or worse

I need to know what size bolt is on the harmonic balancer of a 97 intrepid

Those bolts are specialized, non-reusable bolts. Any time you remove one, you must get a new one to replace it. Size is Irrelevent; as you should refer to a parts store to get one based on application

How to remove the harmonic balancer on a 1995 dodge intrepid 3.5

There is a nut in the center of the balancer... loosening may require an "impact" or a sharp blow with a hammer to begin to loosen the nut. Once loose, you can use a harmonic balancer puller (rentable at a local rental yard) Since its a very tight fit you'll need the puller to persuade it loose from the crankshaft.... watch your knuckles...

What is the trick to removing the harmonic balancer on a stratus

Theres no trick. It has to be cocked or something from all the pulling. Try tapping it back on, use spraylube on the crank and try again. Good luck.
