I took my 1999 Dodge RAM 1500 Club Cab in for service for a similar issue. It would run okay for 3-5 minutes, then stall unless I revved the engine to keep the idle higher. The second it idled lower it stalled. I thought it might be my alternator.

Anyway, my mechanic found that the mass airflow sensor was blocked, not allowing enough air to flow. They also found that the throttle body was gummed up. They cleaned both and it runs fine now

YOU HAVE A SHORT IN THE WIRING OR THE REVERSE LIGHT SWITCH IS BAD

according to the owners amnual the max towing weight for a 1999 ram 1500 quad cab wit automatic transmission is 7600 lb.
with either 5.2 or 5.9 v8. for a reg cab it is 8000 lb.

My 98 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 318 in it will stall at stop streets only when it is at operating temp. When it is cold it will not stall. The Truck runs good down the road.

Sounds as if you may have a MAP sensor reading incorrectly when warm and causes the stalling. You may also have a vacuum leak that is not noticeable during warm up or while driving.
