Is a 2.2 in a 91 the same in a 92?

I was wondering if I could remove a motor from a 92 Honda Accord that has a standard transmission, and replace it with a 2.2 from a 91 Honda Accord that has a automatic transmission?

Yes, from 90 thru 93 the 2.2's are almost identical. They all swap fine.

Might need to swap over the computer as well if it indeed has one.

I see a few troubleshooting issues tho.

How do i replace a starter motor for a 1991 honda accord automatic

It's bolted on to the transmission. Remove the air cleaner intake tube so you can access it. First disconnect your red wire on your battery (+). Then you can remove the wires on your starter and the bolts. You can blow some fuses and shoot off some sparks if your battery is still hooked up while doing this. Good luck, it's an easy fix.

I have a 1994 honda accord, 88k miles on it. My car slips as it tried to shift gears. It just started this today. Whats going on and what should I do to fix it?

if it is a standard transmission get ready to replace the clutch. if it is an automatic transmission check the transmission fluid make sure it is where it needs to be if it still has a problem. have it flushed and filter replaced. if it still slips you may need to have it rebuilt/ or replaced.

Changing a timing belt on a 2001 Honda Accord

All of your fan belts needs to be taken off because the timing belt is located beneath the crankshaft pulley. There is a possibility that you may need to lift the motor off its motor mounts to gain access to the timing belt. Remember, the timing belt can't be seen from the outside.

Flashing green s on the dash

A green flashing "S" is similar to a check engine light. It is telling you that something in or on your transmission is not functioning correctly, such as the speed sensor or shift control solenoids. If it starts flashing and the speedometer stops working or the transmission shifts weird, take it to a mechanic.
