trace the wires to the light underneath the car. May twist off the socket in order to unlock it from the lense if it's like my 1999 Ford Expedition.

Timing belts don't while because they don't slip! Could be the water pump/alternator belt.

i would say its wear and tear,you can kill a clutch in a day if your hard on it,,,or it could take 150,000 miles,,suzuki will classify that as a wear and tear item,,they are really tight with that stuff,
