The front wheels drive fine but ther is no power to the rear

This problem is usually caused when the transfer solenoid/valve assembly goes bad, it's located in the transmission extension housing & needs to be replaced. it can be done without removing the transmission.

Did you know that there is a fuse under hood on Passenger side that I have seen people put the fuse in the missing spot. Problem is it is only for towing the car. Remove if fuse is present and see if it fixes your problem.

Just a thought, Check under bonnett on passenger side is a fuse that when installed dis-engages the rear drive. Remove the fuse to engage the rear drive. Sometimes people see the open fuse holder and fill the slot thinking it is missing. Truth is it is only for short towing. Good luck and have a great day.

Thumping noises and vibrations can be something as simple as a tread separation(or a big bubble) on one of your tires. As for the one wheel turning---that's perfectly normal. If you grab the wheel that's turning (not really recommended) and stop it completely, the other wheel will spin.
