In-tank fuel pump. remove gas tank and remove the fuel pump and screen from it and either clean the pump and screen(or in-tank filter) or replace it with a new one. Its a lot easier if you empty the tank first.

How many different sizes are there for the fuel line from the gas tank on an 85 dodge ramcharger

Hopefully the old lines are still in place & that will give
you something to look at & measure.

Steel tubing --I assume-- your running from front to back,
until you transition to rubber or braided hose?

I would say 3/8" steel fuel tubing

No one-- meaning people who never work on vehicles,
or parts store people who disrespect your age or knowledge?

The only issue will be at the gas tank & on the engine

If it has a carb, then it may be steel all the way or some rubber
hose,at the gas tank if your going there you may have special connectors & they are avail, but again the parts stores will play
stupid as they don't get too involved there

Let us know what your up to

We have no diagrams,sorry

You have to hone you fabricating skills

No dealer parts to just bolt on

I have a 1989 dodge ramcharger 5.2 318 TBI it was starting up and then it would stall as we were driving then sometimes it will start and sometimes it wont i replaced ignition switch, starter relay,...

It sounds like you have an enemy that sabotaged your vehicle. The sand in the oil pan concerns me the most as major damage can be done in a short time with the engine running. The water in the gas tank is less of a worry because you can drain the tank and then add a couple bottles of Heet fuel conditioner which will cause any remaining water to mix with the fuel and burn away.

I have a 1993 dodge caravan and it wont start. the buzz sound that i use to hear when the car starts i dont hear any more. the sound came from the back of the car. when i turn the key it sound as if it...

Sound like your fuel pump quit working. That is what makes the buzzing sound from the back. Sometime if you have someone that can help you you can bang on the gas tank while turning it over to get it started to get it home.

I have a 1981 ramcharger 318 4 barrel edelbrock carb. it starts fine, drives well for about 15 min but dies. dies quicker when 4 barrels kick in. about 2 min after dying it will start up fine and do it...

Those rattly noises are detonations,  caused by a very lean mixture. All the other symptoms indicate that the fuel flow to the carb is too low. Since you have replaced the pump and the filter, the only other things left to check are the lines and the tank sump. Or you could install a much larger pump.

1985 Dodge Ramcharger fuel gauge not working

The problem most likely is not the gauge itself. It could be faulty wiring between the gauge & sending unit, or most likely a bad sending unit in the tank. Visit Ramchargercentral.com, do a thread search on fuel gauge issues, and you'll find a ton of info. If you need anything clarified, post up on the vehicle help board...the members there are happy to help!

Fuel system problems

Try running some fuel back through the feed line from the pump to the tank. Chances are you will see fuel leaking out of it somewhere. The pump on the engine pulls fuel. Even a pinhole will draw in air.
You did check the sock filter in the tank right?
