Accordting with the 2001 Ford Ranger Owners Manual, you have several fuse locations...
Passenger compartment fuse panel: The fuse panel is located on the left hand side of the instrument panel facing the drivers side door.
Power distribution box: the power distribution box is located in the
engine compartment. The power distribution box contains high current
fuses that protect your vehicles main electrical systems from
overloads.
