I changed the radiator,AC condenser, and thermostat, but still getting hot ?
i also checked for oil in the water or water in the oil but found nothing. checked the fans when my AC was running and they were working fine,
i was told that it could be that the heater core that was clogged if it is can i fix it, or do i have to buy a new one? what else could be making my car over heat, like for example a relay or some type of sensor? what should i check next?
Chech to see that the fans are coming on! if your radiator fan in not kicking on after 5-10 min of the car running replace the fan relay. also do you hear a gurgling sound from your car after shutting it of? IF SO replace the radiator CAP immediately- these are just some of the comon things that go weird with neons and cause them to over heat. TO flush the radiator system, there is a small drain cap under radiator, drain system then take one of the large hoses off of the lower part of radiator and stick a garden hose in it for 5-7 min with rather high pressure then also stick it in the radiator and watch the flow go the other way.. IF its your water pump going bad- you have to remove the timing belt while replacing it, REPLACE the timing belt at the same time as the timing belt/ pulley/ tension-er.
