Seems to be having problems with the alternator. Alternator itself can be bad, but also the voltage regulator, which sits inside the PCM (powertrain control module).
Don´t continue using with battery voltage around the 10V, because it will ruin your battery as well. Completely charge the battery with an external battery charger and let the alternator be checked out first.

More than likely, the gauge was indicating that the alternator had quit charging. When an alternator does quit charging,it takes about as long as you described for a battery in good condition,to discharge, and the vehicle stops running. On your vehicle, the voltage regulator is built into the alternator. To fully diagnose the problem only requires a battery charger and a volt meter.Charge the battery fully over the course of about 6 hours on a 10 amp charge, remove the battery charger, start the vehicle, and check battery boltage with the voltmeter.A functioning,or charging alternator will give a reading of between 13-13.5 volts up to 14-14.5 volts at the battery. If the reading is less than 13 volts, then the alternator is not charging, and needs to be replaced. If the battery is old,or does not hold a charge, have it load tested to verify good or bad.Good luck.

Hello, with much satisfaction as of now, I am happy to say I have fixed this problem yesterday. I did so by continuing to read through these message boards, put certain ideas together and figure it out. We all know by now Jeep has ridiculous flaws, how a recall was never ordered, we may never know.
In any case, Jeep has a defective internal Security System. Once malfunctions begin to occur, it is all down hill from there. It cause Battery drainage even after changing battery. Simply remove the fuses for the security system. They are located on the pasanger side, on the right hand side of glove box there is a panel, remove it and find fuses # 6 and # 7. Take them out and Problem is solved.
I have tried everything from the wiring in door panel, wiring in foot panel and everything else that was suggested, It all finally came to an end one the fuses were removed. Good Luck and I hope this helps

Unit has a draw somewhere that needs to be addressed. I have found the auto starts sometimes can cause this. But if the draw is through the negative side it could be tough. You should take it to the dealer and have them perform a draw test on the entire vehicle.

Bare or burned wire, most likely battery cable or alternator cable near exhaust system which might be making contact with a metal part somewhere, off and on, because of bumps, vibration, etc.
