SOURCE: Blend door not working.

The bleed door controls air temp not where it comes out, dash, floor, defroster, this is most likely a mode control switch problem, that switch is on the ac control head.

This is due to a failed air temperature control blend door actuator or a jammed blend door, in most case both are needed to repair the problem.

Heater does not work, doors open ok but no heat

Air Temperature Control Blend Door Failure No Heat or no AC (dependes on where door sticks)

In all modern cars there is a tiny DC electric motor driven gear drive that moves a plastic door that blends heated and cooled air from the AC and the heater core, this is called (interestedly enough) the air temperature control blend door actuator. The motor that moves this door fails because the door starts sticking from warping, most common complaint is no heat but it can be no AC as well. To replace these parts (blend door and blend door actuator) you must remove the entire dash from the car. Always have this problem confirmed by a dealer or qualified repair shop as it is a very expensive repair.

Other causes of no heat in the cabin are engine thermostats that are stuck open (engine runs cold) or air bubbles in the cooling system.

Air conditioning blows cold on drivers side but warm air on passengers side.

dodge has dual blend door actuators on the air box. you have to pull the dash board assembly out to access the passenger side door actuator. it calls for 5.8 hours to do this job. you also have to evacuate and recharge the ac system.

A/c it blows hot air and all the lines are cold everything works right and it stills blow hot air out

One of two things is probable answer, blend door motor under dash is stuck/bad. Or the blend door in the underdash HVAC unit has broken. The broken door is common on these (and the Jeep Grand Cherokee)it is a lot of work or expense to fix. Hope for the motor and good luck.

The heater in my 2003 Dodge Ram 4x4 will not heat up or gets only luke warm & only on the passenger side....any suggestions?

Cold on drivers side and heat on passengers side, actuators working properly and blend doors are moving. Heatertreater is for piece of plastic on actuator motor. I moved blend door by hand after disconnecting actuator and works fine, both sides freezing when moved in opposite direction.
