If you put your heat control to all the way hot and the heat selection to the panel vents and there is no warm air or anything coming out at all it is more than likely that your heater core is not functioning correctly.
sounds like the temperature blend door is either jammed or the actuator is shorted ou. when the temperasture control is moved you should hear the door moving...my guess is you are not hearing that..the actuator would be attached to the heater plenum behind dash/glovebox area...becareful to test the correct one as there will be a fresh air actuator and a mode door actuator as well...you can determine which one is which by changing the positions on heater head from hot/col, floor/defrost, recirculate and fresh air settings..each setting will move its designated actuatror..the one not moving would be you temp actuator....have fun!
did you buy the heater cores new heater core and radiator is two different things sounds like you thermostat is bad touch your bottom hose and your top are they both hot if ones hot and ones cold water is not circulating bad thermostat is the heater core put in right
Could be the control switch itself. Or possibly the actuator that moves the door from defrost to heater. With the heater on, try switching from defrost to heat and try to hear if you can hear anything in the dash operating.
The heater valve on these cars are hard to access. If you are trying to get rid of the heat, a quick solution is putting a valve on the heater hose from the outside. Cut the hose and install a valve in which you can regulate the amout of hot coolant going into the heater core. Since its summer you might as well shut the valve once installed. Winter time comes just open them up again.
Blend door actuator. When it fails for some reason it turns to the hot side and gets stuck. Dash must come out. I usually do it in 3 hours, because I've done it numerous times.
