All connections are good. all i hear is a click when turning the key. i got a buddy to try and jump start it but the battery was fine. i took a wire from the positive side of the battery to the positive side of the starter and nothing happened. tapped on it with a screw driver and nothing happened. just a click.
Did you try moving the gear selector to neutral ? Manual or automatic transmission ? Do you know what a wiring diagram is ? How to use a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter to test electrical circuit for the starter ? How to do voltage drop testing ? Where do you here the clicking ? Do you know what a starter relay is ?
Testing an not guessing is how to diagnose .
Starter Voltage Drop
http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Free wiring diagrams , enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size. Under system click on engine ,then under subsystem click on starting . Click the search button then the blue link . Testing the electrical circuit's is how to diagnose this , not guessing . If that is the best you can do you would be better off taking it to a qualified repair shop . This is how professional technician's diagnose .

First thing unhook positive battery cable, unhook main cable on starter selanoid and small wire on selanoid (there may be 2 small wires) There may be a bracket on front of starter that has to be removed, and then the 2 main bolts that hold it to engine block and it should come out.
