The pump I'm sure is fine, I just need a diagram that will show me where the hoses run so I can quickly find which hose blew and why it blew. My power steering is inactive because of this. Fluid spewed from an unknown location (power steering fluid) so there is no long fluid left in the system. Is it still ok to drive w/o the power steering not working?

I have a 2006 Pontiac G6 GT 3.5L V6, and I can't find where to put power steering fluid in it. Can anyone share a diagram, please?

Not all power steering systems are hydraulic. I think some G6 models have electronic power steering so no fluid is needed. Referring to the owners manual it appears that only the 3.9L uses a hydraulic system. If there is a reservoir it will either be tucked behind the alternator or mounted on that end of the engine. The top mounted reservoir filler cap is on top of the engine to the left of the oil filler cap.

I have a 1997 pontiac grand prix gtp supercharged coupe my power steering hose popped off and i put it back on do i need a new one or is the pump gone i need help cuz its hard to turn

if you put the hose back on and put new fluid in it and it it is still hard to turn which means you pump prob went bad , make sure you have enough fluid in it first, you could have blown you rack and pinion but not likely

Where is the power steering resevoir on a 2006 pontiac grand prix gt and is there an easy way to access it?

locate where the steering vane pump is, it must be in front of your engine since its engine driven follow the pipes attached to it where the vane pump oil goes in, that hose is attached to your reservoir....

I have put power steering fluid in my car (grand prix) twice in one week and i am still having problems turning the wheel whats wrong with my car?

From what you have described, there is a major leak in the power steering system. The leak will need to be identified and fixed and the operation of the power steering pump checked.

Currently the pump is pumping fluid out of the system under pressure (which is why you have to keep adding fluid) and is not providing the assistance to the steering that it was designed to do.
The power steering pump itself may now also be faulty and require replacement.

Have it checked out asap.

Power steering

the power steering pump is mounted on the front of the motor, the pump has a lid which you unscrew to add fluid. if you cant find the pump follow the serpentine belt until it goes around the pump (large Pulley) with about a four or so inch long neck. Make sure you buy the fluid made for your vehicle.

1997 grand am i replace the power steering hose and now when the temp outside is cold i cant hardly turn the cars steering wheel but when the car warms up warms up there is no problem turning the steering...

Please check the fluid level in the power steering pump. After putting on a new hose the fluid may have traveled through the system and you may need more fluid.
