According to wikipedia, the 1st-generation Nissan Altima was offered from 1992-1997. We have a 1996 nissan altima and attached is a photo of the inside of our fuse box. I also found another page that gives the same info for the 1997. I am sure this diagram would work for the 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, or 1997 Nissan Altima.

• It's a timing chain not a belt.

• This diagram shows how to position the lower timing chain so that the mating marks line up.

• Lower timing chain tensioner and timing chain guide positioning.
  

Double check the mating mark alignment of the upper timing chain and idler sprocket.

• Make sure that the upper timing chain and camshaft sprocket mating marks align.
