    i have a 1996 ford explorer with factory 6cd changer , and now i want to install a new cd player ,got it working but no sound from the speakers ,actually it has 2 plugs i got the power one correct but the one with speaker wires is messed up n not giving out sound from the speakers

    i have a sub installed too it gives out little bit of sound with the bass.

    i know its late(years later, lmfao) and to be honest but you probably should have just went to your local audio shop and just pay'd to have someone hook it all up....

On the 1996 ford explorer there is a factory installed amp in the left rear quarter panel in which you have to bypass to get any sound from the speakers while using an aftermarket deck

Installed new Blaupunct. Alpine. All looks ok. Reads am-fm, CD player shows tracks ok. No sound from any speakers

Easiest and smartest way would be to get plugs from any sterio shop.these plugs wire to the radio and plug directly to the factory harness

    not that easy. Mr Anonymous. if the previous owner cut the factory pig tail and hard wired the previos head unit sir. just saying... lmao

Someone cut the factory harness out of my 92 Ford explorer xlt so it hard to install aftermarket radio I need the color codes for the wires
