What fuze controls the cd player? - 2005 Acura RSX

There’s a fuze in the back of the stereo it’s self

yes and no fuse can be bad. if it has back up cam connected to it the back up cam can shut it down pull all 4 fuzes at same time . clock fuze, land nav fuze, radio fuze and backup cam. in my caprice i have to pull clock, radio, and backup cam at same time to reset. clock fuze holds memory for all

typically the fuze is under the hood. It is a inline fuze attached to the antenna motor.. I may be hidden under the fender, so find the motor for the antenna and follow the wires till you come upon the fuze holder. It comes apart with a twist, be sure to replace with the same value fuze. 2 amp usually. It has been my experience that these fuzes blow because of a short in the wiring or a short in the motor itself. so if your replacement fuze blows right after you put it in, you have more than a fuze problem.

if it is ejecting then it has power to it. the radio its self may have a fault.

Have a 2005 element; had the same problem. 15 amp fuze in fuze box under the hood. Fuze that controls horn, brake lights and gear shift lock out.

is it a factory radio or after market? the best way is to pull the cd player and dissassemble the cover then there should be a flat panal covering the turntable and lazer held on with 5-6 screws. but be careful with almost all cd players doing so will void your warrenty. if thats an issue for u then id take it to an authorized dealer for repairs.

this happened to me after 2 years of having my 2006 Mazda 3, luckily i was still within warranty. the entire LCD had to be replaced in mine

Yep , you will have to get the engine light code cleared at a garage , or buy the relevant OBD Code reader from E-BAY . They are fairly priced .

I had similar issues with my audio being mute intermittenly. I ended up being a penny in the CD player slot. (I think the previous owners kid put a penny thru the CD player slot) It also shorted out my DVD system, the DVD player would not come on. The dealership where I bought it seen me to GV Electronics to have my DVD player replaced, and they removed my CD Player and heard change banging around in the Player. After dis assembling it, they found the penny. Everytime I hit a bump or go over railroad tracks, the audio would mute.

It should be under the hood in that fuse panel labeled pwr outlet
