2005 jeep liberty blows cold air through the heater.

Cold air blows through the heater after ten minutes of warm up. Heater does not work properly until Jeep has been drivin at highway speeds. Would this possibly be a thermostat stuck open?

Could be the thermostat if it was just stating to go bad, could also be a vacume problem not letting the door for the ac/heat close all the way for a few min.and if its really cold out like below 35,then its going to take longer to warm up,my jeep takes like around 20 min at idle to warm up.yours could be a case of over cooling in cold weather too ie(electric fans on before it warms up)that would be the thermostatic sensor.

Either you are low on coolant and there is air in your heater core, or the thermostat isn't working properly, or your water pump is going out.

Jeep liberty heater

if there is not even luke warm air coming from the heater it may be caused by the blend air door motor. on some of the jeeps they came out with a new upper heater housing that was a new design. I believe if your vehicle had this update the dealer would be able to check TSB's for the cause. other wise like I said, most likely the blend air door and/or motor

My 2003 Jeep Liberty heater is blowing cold air when idling. Warms up when you hit the accelerator. I also hear a water rolling sound upon take off after idling. Water pump? Heater Core?

Water level perhaps. When you hit the accelerator the water volume increases. Check your water level and make sure that your thermostat is opening and closing properly. Water level I'm thinking

I have a 2002 Jeep Liberty Limited, 3.7 L motor. The heater will not blow hot air. The A/C and fan work well. When I turn the temperature dial to hot, there is only cold air coming out. Can you assist me?

Jeeps are notorious for having broken temperature control (Blend Air) doors. A malfunctioning Blend Air Door actuator probably caused it to break. The dash will have to be removed to replacethe door and the door actuator.

Heater slow to work

this sounds normal in very cold conditions! The air is never hot when you first start the car in any car, until the engine warms up, then the heater air will also warm. You could check your anti-freeze level for the first thing. If you don't have enough anti-freeze, it won't run through your heater to give you the proper heat

Delayed or intermittent heat

after checking the heater core hoses they were both hot I went in to look at the blend door and noticed it wasn't moving on hot or cold so I simply disconnected the lincage and moved to hot and its working ok. but its not completely repaired
