1990 Jeep Wrangler Problem:

The head lights, the radio, and the clock stopped working.

1990 Jeep Wrangler. Driving with lights on for 10 - 15 minutes. First the dash lights go out followed by the headlight and tail lights. If you pull the dimmer switch back (like you would to flash your brights at someone) the head lights will come on and as long as you continue to pull back on the dimmer switch the head lights will stay on bright.

1998 Jeep Wrangler the radio went dead but cigarette lighter works and fuse is ok. The next day the check engine light came on. Any idea what is going on

radio dead, that means no sound or nosound nor dial data?
does the am/fm and cd all fail, using real CDDA disks(store bought)
? if the radio is totally 100% dead that is lost power to radio.
fuses or lost ground to the radio.

the check engine light means one thing,.
get the car scanned, 1996 to now, all cars USA.
you scan it, they scan it.
i take it car starts and drives perfectly?
head lights work> and all outer things?

all features dead? only the eject and insert works

does dial light up, and show that search stations scans and stops
on a station, (regardless of sound or not) if not ? all that is dea check fuses.

if the dash light dimmer is not working you may need to find out why,if you just want brighter lights then look at whats available in LED replacement bulbs

1997 Jeep wrangler

Clock spring mech is prob bad, first easy check is remove airbag 2 8mm bolt from back side of wheel make sure wires are still connected if they are good the clock spring mech is bad you can use a steering wheel puller to remove wheel and clock spring mech just snaps out and has 2 plugs on it, I have 2 if you need one.
