How difficult is it to change a power steering belt on a 2008 PT Cruiser? My belt snapped in the parking lot and the steering is too stiff to drive the car any further.
What tools would I need? Whats the best way to get at it? Any help is appreciated.

Depends on whether you have A/C or not. There is only one serpentine belt that drives the power steering, alternator, water pump, and A/C if so equipped. Both the width and the length are different. Just tell the parts person you talk to the year and make of your car and whether or not it has A/C and they will be able to fix you up.
There's a red and lite green wire going to the seat motor, and a red and dark green going to the seat heater. Do you know where the wire popped off at ? Or what no longer works ? It could be something with the seat belt sensor or the air bag sensor too.
My PT did that when my timing belt broke. It cost $500.00 to replace it. If it is broken, be ready to have some motor work done. I had to have to values replaced at a cost of $900.00. If your timing belt is not broken then check the alternator and battery. I was riding down the road and my PT shut all the way down and would not start. I had to leave it beside the road. It was my alternator. It gave me no warning.
The ! (sits in a U shaped icon) indicates uneven or low tire pressure. This could also contribute to the steering wheel shaking, although that usually indicates tires out of balance or suspension out of alignment.
check to see if the serpantine belt is still there. It sounds like like it broke. this belt runs all of the accesories on the vehicle including the water pump. So if this happened it probably starting running hot too
