Hello what you need to do first is determine fuel problem or spark problem when this happens again take your gas cover off the fuel filler listen for a hum from your fuel pump if its not present the pump is most likely bad if the fuel pump relay checked out good you need to test for spark buy your self a cheap spark tester that lights put it on to the coil check for spark while turning over if none present you need to trace from coil ,to ignition module, possible heating up cutting out goodluck please rate

If you hold the pedal to the floor it puts the fuel system into Clear Flood Mode. This prevents the injectors from firing and lets the already present fuel burn out. Now if this has to be done on every short trip you probably have a leaking injector.
Does the vehicle seem to crank slowly or stop and then crank when this happens?
Hi :) That is normal. When you first turn on the key the prime relay kicks in for the gas pump then shuts off. Once you start the engine the fuel pump is restarted buildes pressure as the engine needs it. When you shut the key off the pump shuts down. You could check the fuel pump relay which is different then the prime relay or check the spark module on the distributor housing. And the wire that go to all control module have a bad habbit of cracking and turning green with corrosion.
Misfires are caused by loss of either spark, gas, or compression. Most likely you have lost gas. Spark is normal? Compression is probably okay. Check your fuel pressure-especially when it has stalled and won't restart.
the fule pump is in the gas tank, if you hear it humming with the engine running, it's likely ok. Should have 40 psi if you check withg gage on scrader valve on fuel rail on engine.
fuel pump sound like a good place to start it may not be getting enough pressure to the fuel thus not sending enough of it at a time to explain why it runs good sometime i think it is primeing and filling the lines once it shuts off and so for a litle while it has enough gas but one you use the gas that was ready in the line it can't get enough to run correctly. have it tested.
Have you checked/tested the fuel pressure? sounds like a bad pump and or plugged fuel filter, check the pressure, if it is low replace the filter, if that still doesn't help you will need a new fuel pump, it is located in the fuel tank.
