Horn does not work

my 2003 e320 wagon has fuses in 3 places, under engine compartment by firewall, driver door, open door and a panel is left of the steering cluster, and under the rear seat with the battery

I thought they where either on the side of the core support(follow the wire harness and it should go to the relay). If not remove the fuse box lid and then take out the screws retaining the lid housing and you will find a series of relays. There will be one for high speed (engine uses this when temp. is to high) the other is a low speed relay(this is the climate control aux. fan relay) They may have fuses on top of them I know the older models did. It is not complicated, depending on what hands-on level of DIY on car. Here are what need to do, so you can estimate how easy or hard when you look through your engine. Drain all the coolant, remove the thermostat housing, remove the fan, belt. Remove the water pump pulley. There are 4 bolts to hold the water pump in place.If you think you can take them out and put them in without removing the AC compressor then you can do it. I did it twice without removing the AC. The pump was fine for the second time, but for leaking seal. At dealer, it is easier to access from the bottom since they have a lifter. But it is doable at home. Have fun if you decide to do it.

This can not be reset by conventional methods. This must be done through a scan tool. Usually only the dealer scan tool will communicate with the SRS module. If the SRS light is on you have other issues and they must be remedied before the light will go out. There is no way of knowing what the issue is without running codes with the scan tool.
