1991 Honda Civic Hatchback Wiper Coontrol Arm Instruction
Need instructions on how to replace the wiper control arm. The motor works fine. Just need the control arm replaced and can't find anyone who will install it for me so my car can get inspected. Took time to get the part. Now I need instructions on how to install the arm so it will work properly. Never did it before. No one will help me so I can get an inspection done. Wipers are part of an inspection and tired of driving illegal. Anyone who has these instructions or could help would greatly be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

put a new wiper arm assembly in or ck aftermarket and see if you can find a plastic ball that is close to the same size that is coming off. honda sells the plastic balls and i did make one work on another toyota
On most cars there is a cap at the base of the wiper arm. Under this cap is a bolt which you can remove. Once removed some gentle lifting/rocking of entire the arm will cause it to come up and off the car. You will be looking at a coned splined shaft which will be turning back and forth when you turn the wipers on. If not then the wiper transmission needs to be replaced. But if you see it turning happily back and forth along with your working wiper, then you need to take the stripped out wiper arm you removed to a junk yard and ask them to find you one like it but in better shape. The inner female coned surface on the wiper arm is stripped, due to snow or some other seizure of the arm while the wiper motor was running. Install in reverse order with the wiper motor off. And next winter think about knocking the snow and ice off the wipers before you turn them on.
Back of engine bay and base of the windsreen you will see some plasic covers known as scuttle panels, you may have to remove the wiper arms first (10mm M6 nut under the Black circle cap on each arm)
The motor will be the size of a coke can with Silver linkage bars going to it
the Windshield wiper blades have little clips that lock them in place. Most replacements have direction on how to release these, as they are common to all models, and remove and install the new ones. If you are talking about the Windshield wiper motor itself i recommend you get a Haynes repair manual on your vehicle so you have the step by step instruction on how to remove and replace this part.
there is a clip under the center of the blade itself push in on that and slide wiper off the armature replace simply by installing it the same way you removed the old ones they will click into lock by itself
hi from the uk to adjust n/side wiper arm ? if you look at where the wiper arm is fitted below screen you may have a cap/covering that conseals the nut that fastens the arm to the motor wiper spindle which has a milti spline for adjusting? remove nut and pull up the arm and reposition as to prevent hitting bottom of screen ?? however if your wiper arms are the type without this nut fastening ? then same principle as above for readjusting but you will have to raise the arm verticle and carefully prise the arm off spindle there is a tool for this job and makes it easier it is a wiper arm puller you may be able to borrow or purchase? they cost approx £11 in uk but can be used for multiple other jobs ? so try 1st method you may be lucky ? when you reposition arm tap it on firmly!when you are happy with position ? good luck !
