2006 Equinox won't start every time (just randomly will). Further, whether it starts or not, all center console items (radio, gear display) will not light up. Also, the dash has the emergency break

Reads like it might possibly be a poorly connected steering column harness connector, intermittent computer connection on one of the harnesses or other including connector damage from someone in the past that got frustrated while making a large connector "fit", causing pin damage and not quite locked harness connector.
Also, after so much time, cleaning of the throttle body opening is in order just in case you are dealing with an electrical problem, as well as a separate hard start issue. Cleaning the throttle body opening makes a big difference in general hard starts that clear when the accelerator is tapped with the key in the run position with the engine not yet started.

A good trusted garage or good dealership is going to be in order for this one.

I think your BCM which is the body control module has failed, have a self test run on it to see if it will give any codes, if it won't test then it is the problem.

You may have the dash light intensity turned down too low. There should be a dial on the dash to adjust it. Yes it could be a fuse too.

My 2006 equinox won't start after it warms up

Hi,
Does it only 'not start' after putting in gas or anytime after it's been warmed up?

Does the Check Engine Light come on? If so, take it to an auto parts store and they will usually check it for free.

Google the codes displayed when checked to see what to fix.

Hello : The park/neutral switch may be the problem. Either it is out of adjustment or it is worn on the inside, It is mounted on top of the transmission where the gear selector cable attaches to the transmission. Recommend to let a professional Technician do the task.

2006 bmw 325i won't start shows steering wheel with lock on it on display. slow to start yesterday. lights, radio work. tried charging battery without any luck

f this is a floor shifter or center console shifter there is actually a lock release next to the shifter. Look next to the shifter handle and you should see a small square plug in the console remove the plug and you will see a little white button in it this is the shifter release push it and you can move the shifter.

2006 GMC Yukon electrical problem

This condition may have to do with the ignition key or ignition switch. You Yukon should have the VTD. So if the key is defective then the car wont start. Do you have another key you could try?
You could also have a problem with your ignition switch. Check to see if you have power at the fuse. If not the suspect a faulty ignition switch.
Hope that helps, let me know thanks.
