Sounds like you might have a faulty ignition switch and ignition lock cylinder.These cars are known for the ignition switches getting hot and then they won't start.
Try the WD-40 spray in intake of throttle body with air intake hose off, to see if it will kick at all, even for a second or 2. We need to confirm whether your losing fuel or spark when it dies. Ignition & fuel, can cause similar symptoms in this case.
It will start when cold, and after driving and then parking, the starter will not turn over? Replace your starter/solenoid.
WARNING: WHEN SERVICING THE STARTER MOTOR (11002) OR PERFORMING OTHER ENGINE COMPARTMENT WORK NEAR THE STARTER MOTOR (11001) , BE AWARE THAT THE HEAVY GAUGE BATTERY INPUT LEAD AT THE STARTER SOLENOID (11390) IS "ELECTRICALLY HOT" AT ALL TIMES. BE SURE TO DISCONNECT BATTERY GROUND CABLE (14301) BEFORE SERVICING STARTER MOTOR .
2.0L Engine Starter Removal
Disconnect battery ground cable.
Remove engine intake air resonator and air box.
Disconnect the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor and mass air flow (MAF) sensor.
Remove three starter motor retaining bolts and ground wire.
Raise vehicle on hoist.
Remove integral connector retaining nuts and wires from starter solenoid.
Disconnect the knock sensor.
Remove the axle shaft bearing bracket bolts and position the bracket aside.
Remove the starter motor.
Installation NOTE: When installing lower starter motor retaining bolts, be sure to install ground cable.
Position starter motor to transaxle and loosely install lower retaining bolt.
Install integral connector retaining nuts. Tighten B-terminal retaining nut to 11 Nm (97 lb-in). Tighten S-terminal retaining nut to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
Lower vehicle to floor.
Install starter motor retaining bolts and ground wire. Tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).
Install engine intake air resonator and air box.
Connect the IAT and MAF.
Connect battery ground cable.
2.5L Engine Starter Removal
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Disconnect the idle air control (IAC) valve hose from the intake manifold.
Remove the IAC valve hose locator from the upper radiator hose.
Remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hoses from the air cleanter outlet tube.
Disconnect the intake air temperature (IAT) and mass air flow (MAF) sensor electrical connectors.
Disconnect the air cleaner inlet tube from the air cleaner housing and the outlet tube from the throttle body.
Remove the air cleaner assembly.
Remove the air cleaner housing support bracket.
CAUTION: Do not carry an open flame of any type when working on or near an open fuel system. The fuel system remains under pressure for long periods of time after engine shutdown. The fuel pressure must be relieved before performing any service to the fuel system.
Remove the protective service valve cap and connect the Multiport Fuel Injection (MFI) Fuel Pressure Gauge T80L-9974-B to the fuel pressure service valve, located on the fuel injector rail. Slowly open the valve and relieve the fuel system pressure. Remove the gauge and install the protective service valve cap.
Remove the safety clips and disconnect the fuel line couplings using disconnect tools D87L-9280-A (for 3/8-inch lines) and D87L-9280-B (for 1/2 inch lines). Install protective caps and position the fuel lines out of the way.
Remove the transaxle selector cable bracket retaining bolts and position the bracket (with cable attached) aside.
Disconnect the starter motor solenoid electrical connectors. Secure the battery cable harness and the heater hoses aside.
If equipped, remove the starter motor support bracket.
Remove the starter motor.
Installation
Install the starter motor. Tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
If equipped, install the starter motor support bracket. Tighten the retaining bolt to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft). Tighten the retaining nuts to 17 Nm (13 lb-ft).
Connect the positive battery cable and solenoid harness to the starter motor solenoid. Tighten the battery cable retaining nut to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft). Tighten the solenoid terminal retaining nut to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
Install the transaxle selector cable bracket. Tighten the bolts to 20 Nm (15 lb-in).
NOTE: Inspect all O-ring seals and garter springs for damage, prior to assembly. If either O-ring is damaged, both O-rings must be replaced. Replace the O-rings or garter springs only with the appropriate replacement parts. Lubricate the O-rings with clean engine oil, prior to assembly.
Remove the protective caps and connect the fuel line couplings. Install the safety clips.
Install the air cleaner housing support bracket. Tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
Connect the air cleaner housing to the air cleaner inlet tube and the outlet tube to the throttle body. Install the PCV hoses to the air cleaner outlet tube. Connect the IAC valve hose to the intake manifold and securely tighten the retaining clamp. Install the IAC valve hose locator to the upper radiator hose. Connect the IAT and MAF sensor electrical connectors.
NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 mi) or more to relearn the strategy.
Check the starter and the starter relay or fuse. A client of mines car was doing the same thing, it ended up being two issues, the starter not working anymore, and a relay that was bad. If I am not mistaken everything should be labeled in the fuse box under the hood and will tell you where the fuse/ relay is for your vehicle

indicates a problem ambient temp sensor or a Baro sensor that is not report correctly to the ECM so the correct cold start air/fuel mixture is not being set
First i would check the crank sensor by looking for rpm's on the tachometer or scan tool if you see any rpm's then crank sensor is good.Then check for leaking injectors and if they are not leaking then you will need to check the ECM it may have failed.
Then you have a start up problem and it reside with the cold start valve,The cold start valve operates even if the vehicle is warmed up,the cold start valve can be plugged up,or even have a bad connection,The cold start valve operates by a thermotime switch.This switch located on the near bottom of the radiator may have gone bad or disconnected,Here is the easy cost effective route, replace them both,it will cost more to trouble shoot it than just replace it.
Sounds like your battery is just too dead, has enough juice to light up the system for a minute but cranking drains it and if it wont charge then deff fried, you could try removing the battery and starting the car with cables to confirm the starter still works. If a bettery is too dead then when you are jumping it, it takes to much of the power just trying to get through the battery.
First check your fuel pressure it should be 41-47 psi with key on and engine off if its below 32 psi replace the fuel pump and filter.If fuel pump checks out to be good then take ignition switch out and check for burned ignition switch wires and worn ignition key tumblers and ignition lock cylinder.These cars are known for faulty ignition switches and ignition lock cylinders.Ignition switch gets to hot then it won't start until it cools off.
