Problem with 1998 chevy malibu fog lights

The fog lights on my 98 chevy malibu stays on even when the car is turned off. How do I fix this. I've been trying to find the fuse that's for the fog lights to pull it out but I don't know which one it is.

Maybe this will work. Please advise. THanks

The rear window defogger on my '98 Chevy Malibu has suddenly gotten VERY weak. It is no longer able to clear even the lightest inside fogging.

hi remove the contacts that connect the power and see if they are corroded as this will reduce the current to the strips, give them a clean with a bit of emery cloth wet and dry paper is best 1600 type, also purchase some white spirit or turpentine or an alcohol cleaner of sorts and with a soft cloth wipe the rear window this will remove the dirt on the strips and help them heat better...hope this helps please comment and rate thanks

Fog lamps won't turn on

OK, you will need to first check the fog light wiring harness. make sure there are no worn wire lines or connections, replace if you see noticeable flaws in the wiring harness. Next, check the clip that fits over the back side of the fog light bulbs. Make sure that the inside copper pins are in good condition and, the the fit is tight. replace the wiring harness if these clips are worn or not fitting properly.

If the above inspections show no apparent wiring harness issues, you will then need to check for bulb failure. make sure that your fog light bulbs are operational. if the bulbs are ok, replace the switch.

Please rata and have a great day:)

98 explorer fog light always on

reference your owners manual for relay location, if you do not have one you can download it at www.fleet.ford.com , the relay for the fog lights should be under hood in power distribution box, ford relay are notorious for hanging up in closed and open positions, pull the relay and see if the lights go out? if so replace relay, try the same for interior lights, that relay should be inside in the fuse box. hope this helps, let me know
