I have a 84 ford f150 4.9 it was starting fine & running smooth. I didn't start it for about 3 months, tried to start it 3 days ago and it wouldn't start it's getting gas. I had the control module tested, the coil tested, I tested the ignition wirers. What else could keep it from getting spark or keep it from stsrting?

TAKE THE ING. MODULE OFF GET IT TESTED TO SEE IF IT IS GOOD.. IF IT IS GOOD THEN YOU ING. COIL IS BAD..GOOD LUCK KEITH..

if you have a set of noid lights check for injector pulse if you do not have pulse and no spark you have a bad pick up (hall effect sensor) inside the distributor this also would account for your prior problem with your timing because this pick- up (hall effect sensor) if it starts to short internally can effect ignition timing and missfires and also for the voltage changes

Check your rotor, distributor cap, coil wire.did you change the module inside the distributor cap.

i had the same problem. there is a group of wires that go by the distributer and branch off to the distributer and go towards the front. when i would jiggle it the van would die. it ended up being a pinched wire.

Hi did you do a continuity check check if there's a wire shorted or open you'll need a volt meter check if the wires on the crank sensor going to the control module and also the one from the coil to the module there has to be a shorted or open wire check this and get back to me good luck
