2001 Neon engine dies more frequently when idling at a stop sign or when turning a corner slowly. Engine light comes on. this does not happen alot but is becoming more frequent. Also the transmission is slipping some and may be leaking a little on the concrete. The engine light is inconsistent. Some days it will stay on most of the time. Some days it doesn't come on at all. Some days it goes on and off randomly.

SOURCE: Engine Turns Off when running AC

Your throttle speed sensor(idle speed sensor)is not working properly. It's job is to keep the the engine at the proper rpm range when you are not applying the gas peddle. This is the most likely cause.

SOURCE: 1997 Neon dies, starts after electric fuel pump relay swapped

Hello, I would assume this is your fuel pump inside your tank. I would first however do some basics like a general tuneup. For starters I would replace your spark plugs and wires, rotary cap and button and check your fuses. Run some injector cleaner through your system. You know quick simple cheap things before you get to the fuel pump inside the gas tank which can be kinda expensive. The warm up then dies can be caused by, "blownout or fouled," spark plugs. I hope this gives you a general direction in which to go. A sidenote is that coil packs do not normally run an igntion code and I for one do not like them becuase they are expensive.

SOURCE: I just got a 1998 PLY Voyager 3.3 o.d. trans. 1.

Problem #1 The blinking lights in the rear wiper rear defrost area can be reset by holding 2 buttons of the 3 on the left hand side. The top and bottom buttons. Turn the key on and hold them for about 10 sec and they should start flashing differently. Just let it do this. After they start flashing different. It will take 5 to 10 mins. Then one or more will quit flashing all together. If they don't after about 20 min reset them again it can take about 5 trys sometimes before they all go out. Also to fix the dash going out try this. This is a common problem with the voyager, caravans and Town & Countrys. What the problem is is a cold soder in the interment cluster itself. The problem area is where the plug comes from the van into the cluster. You need to take the circuit board out of the cluster and reheat the soder on the back side of the circuit board were the plug plugs into. This will fix the cold soder permanitly I think its about 16 pins you have to reheat with the soder gun. If you don't feel comfrotable doing that you can just replace the interment cluster and it will be fine but if you buy a used one make sure it was tested. This also may fix the ABS light and the airbag light. Hope this helps I have done several of them.

Sounds like the aircon is kicking in when you turn on your heater. This will load up an idling engine, and if it is idling too slowly is will stall out the engine. Try increasing your engine idle speed until the heater on function doesn't stall the engine at idle speed.

More than likely, it's either a vacuum hose or the o-rings under the intake manifold.

Hope this helps!
