Power steering fluid PT Cruiser

Could you advise me on which fluid to use in to top up my power steering on my Chrysler PT Cruiser please?

    car makes a grinding noise when I turn the steering wheel.

atf+4 (automatic transmission fluid) or power steering fluid do not use dextron cause it has additives

Steps on flushing power steering fluid on a 2001 pt cruiser

Take the return hose off from the Reservoir and put in a bottle then start the car and let it pump it inside the bottle add more fluid and let it wash out the old one, Then put the hose back and fill it with new fluid. Good luck

2001 pt cruiser wont turn pump has fluid in it but the fluid is not moving

sounds like the pump itself is bad,i would suggest a power steering flush after the pump is replaced just to make sure there is no metal in the system,hope this helps

PO551 fault code on PT cruiser...power steering??

i would check the power steering fluid to make sure it isn't low. if that checks out then i would just keep an eye on it.
