Where is the air filter located not the cabin filter

It can have a cabin air filter, but most vehicles ship without it. Either way, you can access the cabin air filter housing by opening the glove box all the way (squeeze the sides so it clears the stops).

The filters are around $15 at the dealer.

Whether or not there's a cabin filter installed, make sure you're also following Chrysler's recommendations in the owner's manual—running the air on recirculate all the time will encourage mold and bacteria to grow.

The cabin air filter is located behind the glove box, you will have to remove the glove box, behind the glove box is a cover about 1" high and 7" long, remove that cover and you will see a tray that holds the cabin air filter, remove the tray and you can replace the paper cabin air filter, I recomend using a Toyota cabin air filter, the Toyota cabin air filter is a HEPA air filter and is available at any Toyota dealer for about $ 30

The cabin air filter is located by the passenger floor board, if you have a dual or triple zone a/c unit. If the unit is just a single zone unit there is no cabin air filter.
Underneath the glove box (next to the floor) there is a rectangular cover. Remove the cover and the cabin air filter is located above that.
Just remove the filter and install the new one.

i have a corolla 2002 and it doesn't have one you need to cleen the fan and change the beering.

it is in the blower motor box ...passenger side under the dash behind the glove compartment.
get a hayns manual it will walk you though it..and any other repairs in the future.
you can get a hayns or chiltons manual at most parts stores.
normally the cabin filter will last the life time of the vehicle.
what was the reason you were told it needed to be replaced.

its on the intake area where the heater gets it air flow. in the shuttle area in engine bay under window.
