I drive approx 5-7 miles city driving each day, and from one to three times each day, usually when accelerating from a stop, the engine cuts out(stops) for around a half second or so, then it's running again completely normal. Three of those times in the last few weeks it died, but started back up without hesitation. When the half-second events occur there's no indication of a problem in the dashboard display, and there are no error codes showing in the computer. When it happens it's not a miss or a sputter like when an engine's running badly, it's an abrupt shutdown like an ignition problem. I've already eliminated an ignition key problem, it still happens using my spare key.

this could be because of the fuel pump not functioning properly.

I'm having the same issue. I've had my vehicle since Nov 02 and have kept up with all the maintenance and service to the "T". It started over the summer driving down the highway. My check engine light came on, cd ejected and my truck died only to start right back up. Took it in to the dealership and they couldn't find anything wrong. Three months go by and it happened again....repeat episode they couldn't find anything wrong. The last few months have been quiet, no problems until Sunday and now my truck has been dying everyday. Took it to the dealership this morning and still they can find nothing. I'm extremely frustrated....I'm afraid of the day it won't start back up and I'm stranded on the highway with my children!! I need an answer besides...."we can't find anything wrong"....clearly there's a problem!!! HELP
Sounds like a few time's the security system could be messed up, fuel issue, or a EGR or Throttle senser
