Cat converters I have a 2002 Mazda Millenia the dealership looked at when the engine light went off. They told me the cat converters are bad and this would cost me $2,000 dollars parts and labor to fix. Do the Mazda Millenias have two converters to replace or one. How do you replace the converters with out taking it to the dealership.

Yes sir they are about right. I have had both of my CAT CONV replaced. The 1st was under warranty. There is a 8yr/80000, mile warranty with the dealer. So I did not have to pay anything for that. The second one was replaced recently at Precision Tune. That was a bout a grand just for the CAT CONV and labor. I had called the mazda dealer and they confirmed as well. So yes we do have two and they do cost about a grand a piece.
