No plug on truck for trailor trailor has 4pin plug how do i wire 4plug to my truck99 dodge ram pickup

Depending on the power requirements of the lights on the trailer you may have to use relays.

Provide me the model #, year and motor of the truck so I can check the schematics

Changed fuses fow tow connector. #3 and # 7. Now the left trailer light, signal, brake, etc works while only right tail light on trailer still works. On right side, the tail works, but not the brake,or...

I would recommend taking out the tail light. Get a test light, have an assantant step on brake. U will see the bulb in tailamp light up. Probe the wire w/your test lamp. That is brake wire. Repeat that process for blinker.. Drop down those two wires. Hook that to the same side on trailor. Repeat for left and you should be all set.

Hi, When I hook up my trailer, I get running

according to wiring diagram no module . do you have pwr at trailor connector. should be green w/ white wire coming into trailor connector. ( I believe pin 7 on connector ground should be pin 5 and is white with black wire )

I need to hook up a boat trailor Whats the color code for a 1995

I suspect that the 4 wire harness includes a ground, so you may not be able to connect both brake lights and turn signals, which are separate lamps on the pickup. You may need to get an adapter.

In any case, the color codes on the pickup are:

Tail lights -- pink/blue
Brake Lights -- green/yellow
Left turn signal -- gray/blue
Right turn signal -- gray/red
Ground -- black

04 f 250 trailor hook up

Check your receptacle with a test light, to find out if it's the truck or the trailer that's the problem. If you have power at the truck, then take your trailer rceptacle apart, and see what's going on in there. If you don't find it in the plug ins, just work your way back with a test light. Its corrosion or a broken wire somewhere. Wiring can drive you nuts.

I have one 'pin' not getting voltage for my trailor hook up

you can go into an auto zone and on the package is a diagram, they will usually let you write the info you need.

what wire is showing, i know yellow and green are turn and white ground and brown are running lights. so you will get no power to the white but it has to be grounded, or no lights either, sometimes the connections go bad. truck side and trailer side.

also there is a quick connect for your truck if it is the 150, so much easier and not tracking wires down

It does not take long for a connection to co bad, my race trailer had a little deamon in it, had to rewire the thing about 3 to 4 times a year, all new stuff, it just hated the trailer

I have a b 2200 mazda pick up. i recently put on a 7 prong plug to pull a small boat trailor and when hooking up wires i have a seperate brake wire and dont know were it goes. i tried to hook it to the...

the wire you maybe talking about could posibly be for the trailer brake controller, which you have to buy serperate i'm not to sure how much it will run you but i would look into that because that is what the extra wire is usually forwith the 7 prong trailer plugs
