Suzuki esteem wiper stuck

The windshield wipers on our 2000 Suzuki esteem won't park. They are stuck in the middle on the window and wont budge. Fuse is good, there is current and ground. They worked once this morning and stopped where they are. There is a good amount of ice around the base of the wiper arms, could the ice be the problem ?

SOURCE: is ther a picture of the tension pully arm for my

The tensioner itself is not meant to be taken apart. If you do, it's one difficult job to put back together again! Assuming you just want to either remove or replace the belt, all you need is a long spanner or breaker bar (14mm I think) and turn the centre bolt of the tensioner in a clockwise direction. If you're re-fitting a belt, it's best to start with the spanner in a position where you have the biggest possible amount of movement available to turn the spanner clockwise. If you're removing a belt, you'll only need a small amount of clockwise movement, but may need a lot more in the anti-clockwise direction (once the belt is off, the pulley will go back a lot further). The tensioner only has a certain amount of movement and if if doesn't go back much further with the belt removed, you need a new (or shorter) belt.

SOURCE: How to check codes on a 2001 Suzuki Esteem

No, the only way to get the engine codes out of this car is to get the codes scaned. Auto zone offers free engine code scans. Hope this helped =)

Most older cars have that problem, you need to make sure the windshield is wet before you switch them on though because they could just be sticking

Ihave a 2003 Ford Explorer & the windshield wipers won't stop working, with the switch turned off or even removed. The only way to stop them is to remove the battery cable.

Sounds like the park switch in the wiper motor is bad. Some manufacturers allwo you to change the circuit board seperately from the motor, sometimes they have to be changed as a unit

I just bought a 2005 Suzuki Reno and I can't seem to get the back windshield wiper to work. Is there a separate button somewhere for that?

Yes, the rear wiper has it's own control which is separate from your windshield wipers. Look around on the dash and I am sure you will find it.

Windshield wipers wont park

If they do not always stop in exactly the same position the live wire that feeds the park circuit in the motor has come off or the contact disc on the fibre gear in the motor has come loose.

2000 Saturn LS, windshield wipers park in the middle of the windshield. How can I fix this?

The wipers are parking in the middle because the timing mechanism is off. Once they start doing this it seems to continue to happen so the 1st suggestion is to replace the wiper motor. If U don't want to spend the $ right now it's a pretty easy fix to reset the timing. Park the wipers & remove the wiper arms. Then remove the plastic cowling that covers the wiper motor & the motor assembly. Turn the wiper assembly over without turning the motor. Remove the nut on the arm of the motor. Repostion the arm pointing away from the closet wiper directly inline with the short arm. reassemble.
