Below are some instructions that I hope will help. Just a hint as far as installing the belt. Before you do the final torque or the belt tensioner, you should rotate the engine (by hand) 2 revolutions to TDC and double check all your marks before puting the cover back on.
Easiest way would be to peek into the valve cover thru oil fill cap or PCV port and look for valves to move when engine cranks. This would not tell you if it just slipped though. You will have to remove the timing cover to tell if the timing is just off a tooth or 2. If you have overhead cam (and I think you do), you may be able to just take off the upper timing belt covers. Turn the engine to TDC and check the timing marks per below pics
disconnect brake lines from MC should be only 2. Remove the 2 nuts holding the MC on. replace in reverse order u will need to bench bleed the new MC and u will probaly need to bleed the brakes
