Make sure that your battery connections and the wire to the starter motor are squeaky clean and tight.

Make sure the doors and trunk, and hood are shut, open them, and shut them .activate the anti theft, wait about 1 minute, and disarm it,see if it will start,if not,the key fob may need to be relearned, try turning the key on,leave it ten minutes, then turn it off,and right back on,then wait ten minutes, and turn it off,and right back on,do this a total of three times,,30 minutes, then try and start.

SOURCE: 2006 Chevy Equinox won't start,

sounds like you have a starter solenoid problem. Or maybe loose connections on solenoid.

SOURCE: where is the fuel filter located on my 2006

    For 2006 Equinox 2WD 3.4L SFI OHV

For 2006 Equinox AWD 3.4L SFI OHV:

Its the same for both types of Equinox.
The short story: the fuel filter is an integral part of the fuel pump, and 06 Equinox has 2 fuel pumps (each presumably with its own filter), due to the odd shape of its fuel tank.
Note: the last time I thought I had a car whose owner thought it was a fuel pump/fuel strainer/fuel filter promplem turned out to have a bad spark plug wire - it caused identical symptoms (engine missing alot, especially going uphill).

Rapid clicking sound like turn signal sound. Happens when first started for about ten seconds then happens sporadically. Where is the turn signal relay located?

It doesn't sound like it's the turn signal flasher, sounds as it is the recirculate door actuator. Does it sound like it's coming from the passenger side, behind the dash. They will click when the ignition is first turned on and as you stated, at random times.

2006 equinox problem when heater control is turned on water pump makes a high pitch noise

You may have an air bubble trapped in the upper section of your water pump. Have your dealer perform a water pump tower bleed at the tower fitting. It only takes a few minutes and may clear your trouble.
This procedure is listed in the radiator refill procedure in the service manual.

Clicking noise coming from bottom front of engine on 2006 equinox could it possibly be the storter not disengaging?

I have a 2006 chevy equinox and when i started it it had a quiet tick which was a completely new development. As I drove it became very loud so we pulled over turned it off...started it again after a coupld minutes it started but noise was still there, checked the oil it read low so we added two quarts then it wouldn't start meanwhile no smoke showed no burning smell didn't overheat and now lights came on.

Trouble going up hills. The front right wheel is making loud noises when going up hills and starting on ice

Could be the wheel bearing OR the CV joint. Best bet is to get it to a garage and have them check it out.
