I have a 94 C220, for the past few days I noticed my car was driving weird, especially at take off. The acceleration was faster than normal without me even pressing the gas, I felt like the car was driving without me. Just yesterday it was literally driving without me even when I break it eventually stops but continues to slowly edge. When I start the car or in neutral, it revs very high. In drive or reverse, no gas is necessary as it seems to be driving by itself. Any help or suggestions?
Certainly check for a sticking throttle and idle air valve if fitted.
If nothing is found it could need the engine management defaults restoring. Sometimes disconnecting the battery for a few hours or overnight will reset things and sometimes diagnostic equipment with the right software is needed.

Sounds to be a loose or corroded wire/s at either starter motor or at battery fusible links.
Also check the earth strap (Cable) between engine and bodywork.

check your main harness wire. The harness wire becomes brittle and will eventually short circuit your car. Stalling and hard starting is the initial symptom. If not replaced soon, your car will smoke and eventually affect your computer box
