You may have too much fluid in the transmission or maybe it is overheating i had an explorer that would do this on long trips. just make sure its warmed up properly before you check the fluid and add any more

Where does hose coming off very bottom of radiator driver side go
There are two large hoses attached to a car radiator. The top one is usually attached to the top of the engine at the outlet of the thermostat housing. This is the return line to the radiator. The lower large hose is usually attached to the water pump inlet. This is where the cooled down coolant is circulated back into the engine. If you have an automatic transmission, there are likely two smaller hoses attached to one side, one on top and one on the bottom. These are cooler lines that attach to the transmission to cool the transmission fluid.

How do I top up the Transmission fluid in a 3.2ltr Holden Captiva 2007 model.
There is a plug on the side of the transmission 22mm wrench size I believe, use a small wire or your finger to check the fluid level, it should be at the top of the bolt hole, when adding use a small hose or funnel and when the fluid starts coming out of the hole the fluid level is full.

Where is transmission vent tube for 1996 chevy K1500 - suspect it is clogged but cant find it
vent from trans comes out of trans on the passenger side of the trans.it is located about 1/3 the way back on top of the trans.a rubber hose will be attached and usually connects with the transfer case vent hose.If the trans overheated chances are there is a problem with the transmission.if the fluid smells burnt you have bigger issues.

How to check transmission fluid 2010 lexus rx350 fwd
to check transmission fluid in a 2011 lexus rx 350 fwd there is no dipstick, but the transmission is not sealed as the dealer will tell you, thats a gimic for you to bring youre car to a dealership!
simply remove the drain plug from the transmission on the main bottom, the fluid will not come out, there's another fluid retaining plug above that!
next the fluid add hole is on the side of the transmission behind the driver side wheel towards top of transmission!
you simply add fluid whether you pump it in or snake a rubber hose off of a funnel, when the fluid is full it will come by the bypass plug and leak out the drain hole, at this point that's the correct amount of fluid!
simply re install the drain plug and the fluid add plug and you're done!
cost me $100 at a transmission shop to find this out yesterday

I have an 1998 chevy s10 automatic.this morning I noticed transmission fluid on the ground I checked and it comes out from a hose on top of the transmission but I don't see where it hook up?
From what I have read elsewhere: There is an overflow hose on top of transmission behind engine which actually is from the transfer case. Fluid will drip down onto exhaust and eventually catch on fire. Check transfer case for being overfull by taking the top fill plug out. If transmission fluid runs out, I believe the transfer case input shaft seal is shot and needs replaced. Mine caught on fire. I was lucky to get fire out before truck burnt to the ground. If you continue to drive vehicle at have something to put out a fire!!!!

Trying to locate spout to add tran fluid or gear oil
  • If this is a manual transmission you will have to get underneath the car and on the transmission you will see two big plugs. This check is performed with the vehicle off.
  1. 17mm or 18mm.
  2. Top plug is the fill plug and the Bottom plug is the drain.
  3. You will need a funnel with a hose attached to it.
  4. Pull the top plug out and fill until the fluid just barely comes out and that is the proper fill.
  5. Plug the hole with the fill plug. Job complete.
  • If it's a manual it will have a dip stick or it may have a cap on top of the transmission that is commonly referred to as a "sealed transmission."
  1. Put the emergency brake on.
  2. Put the car in neutral.
  3. The check for this is a 10mm plug on the transmission. Again this has to be accessed under the car.
  4. Pull that little plug and if fluid comes out then it is full.
  5. If nothing comes out then add fluid where you removed the cap until it comes out and plug the transmission.
  6. Replace transmission refill cap.
  7. Job complete.

I have a 97 s-10 and need to find out where the fluid plug is on my mannual transmission so I can add some.
There are 2 plugs on the transmission. You should have one on the drivers side towards the top which is the fill plug. There is also one directly on the bottom for draining the fluid. It should take a 17mm Hexhead to remove them. You can use a rubber hose and funnel or a MTF Pump to refill it. Add fluid through the top plug until fluid starts to come out. Screw in top plug and your done.

there is a small rubber hose located at the battery bracket. this is the vent for the trans. make sure it is not pinched or blocked.
