I need to know how to reach the back three spark plugs and the torque pounds for installing the plugs on a 2003 Dodge grand Caravan Sport, SE, 3.3 L, engine.
You need to put a ratchet ******** the front of the engine and remove the dog bone engine mount this will allow the engine to be pulled forward with strap and you can reach behind and remove the plugs or you can get them from underneath the van hand tightened with a spark plug socket and wrench if you overtighten they will break
I replaced all 6 plugs and wires on my boyfriend's 2003 Caravan without removing anything, such as the window wiper assembly, but I weigh 125 pounds. The back spark plug on the right (next to battery) was almost as easy as the front three, but the last two were a pain. The middle one was pretty difficult because once the plug is out you need to blindly put the new one in without accidently getting a bunch of garbage in the combustion chamber. For the one near the air filter, by far the most difficult, I had to go to the store and buy a short ratchet and reach both arms in there to loosen the old plug one click at a time. That last plug is VERY deep in there, so I dont recommend a 90 degree ratchet like I used. If you dont have a strong, skinny-armed person at your disposal, I'd recommend taking it somewhere, or removing either the air filter or the wiper assembly.
