Have you replaced the fuel filter? It;s under the drivers side in the frame rail.

SOURCE: Stalling

Possibly faulty ignition module is the problem, stalls when engine is hot when you sit for a while it cools off and runs again until it heats up again, those are usually the symptoms of a bad ignition module and after a while it may give out all together and not run at all, usually if the module is at fault it shuts down the fuel pump so the engine don't load up with fuel, do to when engine continuously cranks over the injectors never stop squirting fuel and flood the engine do to lack of spark which is produced by the module, this could possibly be your problem.

I agree with emissionwiz, pump may be making noise but I suspect little or no pressure getting produced. Would take a shop 10 min. to attach fuel pressure gauge & confirm.

You need to have an OBII fault scan performed. (any good auto parts store can do it and usually FREE) The scan will identify what sensor or failure has occurred and will direct you at what needs to be replaced.

91 automatic Cavalier stalls after stopping

It sounds like the torque converter clutch. Just unplug it. It is the square 4 pin plug on the front of the transmission. Once it is unplugged and you get it unlocked, it will be fine. Just leave it unplugged, it won't hurt anything.

1989 chevy celebrity stalling

seems to be like you might have a transmission problem possible with the lock up solenoid system,
try to pull codes and see if you get any codes from the car with a scan tool,
some transmission codes will not turn the light on.
