Hard to start and stall at higher RPM. So you are stalling at load. What the engine needs at higher RPM and load is more fuel. The fuel pressure at idle should be at 30 psi to 45 psi. A plugged fuel filter will also do this. so you need to address the fuel pump and filter

1998 Ford Explorer Ltd - V-8 5.0L - will not start - hard starting yesterday when it would start but not increase RPM then died. Now will not start at all. Spark is good

Start by checking for fuel pressure and fuel delivery to the injectors, you can quickly check this by spraying starting fluid into the air intake of the engine, if it starts and dies the engine is not getting fuel.

yes
voltage to the coil should be 12 volts on start and 7.5 volts on run
with power the inverse applies --higher voltages the lower the current or the lower the volts the higher the current
recheck the installation or get an accredited auto electrician do it for you

93 chevy suburban v-8 tbi hard to start, but starts, will run but will not idle, can keep it running or driving as long as you rev engine constantly. Holding engine at half throttle it will slow and die. ...

Assuming your engine is in good mechanical condition, there are only a few options.

1. You may have a vacuum leak.
2. The pickup in the distributor may be worn to the point that it is sloppy at idle but normal at higher rpm.
3. Idle control valve/motor may not be working properly.

It probably isn't an ignition related problem as the problem would normally get worse as RPM increases. I've seen #2 about 5 times in the past year or 2 so it's not uncommon and would recommend replacing the entire distributor if you come to that conclusion, but would definitely check all vacuum hoses first.
