I bought the car today and the owner gave me two keys, the original one, and a second made one. the second key, which is not an original key, will shut the car off within seconds while the original key works perfectly. Help?
In 2005 Dodge Stratus you have a transponder (chip) inside the key and the key is program to the car computer ECU , without it the car wont start. The scound key is for emergency.24 Hour Locksmith for Dodge Cars In Buffalo NY and Surrounded area
The 2nd key is either damaged or not programmed, its very common for cars to shut down after running for a few seconds without the proper key. ( the chip in the key shuts off the fuel pump). Bring the key to your local automotive locksmith or dealer with both keys and they will reprogram it for around $50
The key may have a chip in it . it may be the wrong one in the second key

If it's a chrysler engine the thermostat is located just below radiator cap. If mitsubishi diamond star engine it's located on the cylinder head , beside the air cleaner housing

Look for the large black box on the driver's side of the car...you didn't mention what engine size...but anyway, unclip the cover from the large black box. Lift the old filter out and replace with the new one. Replace the cover and clip it back in place. That's it!
