95 Lincoln Mark VIII Won't start up

When last driven car would idle fast at times and/or engine lite might come on. Now, car will not start just turns over.

    Clean or change out the AIC air idle control valve. If that doesn't work try cleaning or changing the MAF mass air flow sensor.

Do you have a "Check Engine" light?

Check the coils in each cylinder. At 140k the valve cover gaskets tend to break and oil will fill the coils causing misfires and stalling.

RPM On Lincoln Mark VIII 1993 Idling up to 1500 -2000 RPM

Mine did same thing. I have a 95 Mark VIII LSC and took it to dealer after troubleshooting for two days. Turned out to be Throttle Position Sensor. With Diagnostic fee it cost about $350 including labor. Hope this helps- Mike

Idles fast

Check for a intake manifold leak, we had some problems with seals used on the upper section of the intake on your engine, get a can of carb spray and spray it around the intake, see if the engine reacts, if it does you have a leak.

Lincoln mark wont start.....

ive tried turning the ignition on and off three times or so....then turning it off completetly for about five secs and then turning the ignition all the way on and most of the time it starts up....but sumtimes i think this car has a mind of its own......
