I have a 1997 chevy 5.7 k3500 and for awhile it has been stumbling at 45 mph and at 65 mph. One day my fuel pump went belly up and I replaced it with an oem part and it runs but the same stumbling and missing probs. I changed the plugs and wires and dist cap. Its really bad when its wet outside. Even after all this I got 2 o2 codes, sensor 1 and sensor 2 on bank 1 (drivers side) so the guy at auto zone said i could just change bank one sensor 1 instead of both bank one sensore because he said bank one snsor one controls also sensor 2 on that bank, so I did. Well, same problem, stumbling, acts like its missing especially when its raining or has been raining. I'm about to give the vehicle a date with the deep end of a boat ramp somewhere. Can anyone help? Thanks a bunch.

I have a 97 gmc sierra .This truck is the same as the chevy ok.Its a 350 5.7 liter 4x4 Z71.I took it to auto zone which was my first mistake. They put it the scanner and said bad O2 sensor.Ok so which one is it i said. They dont know.Well there four (4) O2 sensors in this truck i hope you know that.I had to replace all four of them before i had to take it to a real shop.It seems the fuel pump i replaced a week earlier with an auto zone fuel pump was bad.Ive changed my feul pump 4 times now and have 235000 miles on still running. You need to get your fuel pressure checked. It should be 65 psi to start it and 55 psi to run it.If the pressures are good it could be a different O2 sensor or maybe the mass air flow senor. My last option would be the fuel pressure regulator because it seems to be a waste of time and money.I would get that fuel pressue checked first.Good luck.

What are codes P0133 & P1134, for a 2005 Buick Lacrosse 3.8L V6 with 94,000 miles.

i have replaced an O2 sensor and had similar failure after 1500 miles.
I removed it, chkd it, reinstalled it and it ran fine.
P0133 is related to slow response of O2 sensor. P1134 is mfg specific so google that for ur car.

P0161

The PO161 code tells you

Did you not google it, to learn what the
reason for the code was

Doesn't mean a sensor is bad, maybe, but you have
to do some testing

PO 161--Bank #2 Sensor #2

Bank #2 is the side opposite cylinder #1
& Sensor #2 is the one at the converter outlet

Need to study OBD2 Systems before you go
any further

O2 SENSOR

The codes were cleared after the fix? If they were, then the light means it likely wasn't the sensor itself, but a short or open in the heater circuit to it, or the connector to the sensor is bad and needs repair.
The sensor in question is the Heated Oxygen Sensor (2), located rear of catalytic converter. That is the one you changed, right? Because your car has two O2 sensors, one nearer engine in the exhaust, and this one in back of the catalytic converter. Since you already changed the sensor, here are the remaining fixes for that code: heater power or ground circuit open or shorted, or 2) sensor's connector is bad (maybe damaged from oil contamination).
If car runs good now even with light on, then it's not a huge issue. Driveability won't be affected by that code-just the nuisance of the light staying on. Might just check the sensor's connector. Pull it apart, maybe you'll see the problem. If not the connector, a mechanioc will have to trace the circuit to find the short or open. It's (again) the heater circuit to sensor. Good luck.

How do you know if you have a faulty rear ho2s sensor and where is it located?

o2 sensors are located on the exhaust pipes
1-2 before the cataltic converters and 1-2 after the cat. converters. 4 cyl engine has 1 before and 1 after. 6 and 8 have 2 before and after mostly) to determine if they are bad it is best left to a repair facility to run a computer diagnostic test routine and or emissions system tests.
